My Top 3 Eye Indulgences

It's the Christmas season as I write this.  We are all running around trying to find the perfect gift for everyone on our list.  We want to make sure the gift is personal and not gonna end up in the re-gifting bin. 

I have a friend that loves candles.  She has them lit all over her house.  It always smells like a bakery at her house.  When you go from room to room there is a different cookie or food scented candle in each one.  There is usually apple, sugar cookie, and gingerbread.  No wonder, I'm always hungry when I'm over there. 

The week of Thanksgiving, I made a list of the ultimate gift-giving guide for 2019.  I put on it some of the best eye care products I've come across.  I feel like I have tried them all of the eye treatment products at this point.  I have listed over a half dozen makeup removers on my makeup remover guide, so surely I have tried over 2 dozen over the last several years.

Here I share with you my absolute favorite products.  These make my eyes feel like they are being pampered.  And, that is what we want our gifts to say to our loved ones this holiday season.  They should say, "You deserve to feel loved."  Well, that's my goal at least.  Happy Christmas shopping to you!

No. 1) Makeup Remover oil by We Love Eyes

The remover oil feels great on my eyelids.  It has been my secret weapon to get my eyelashes to grow stronger and longer.  If you think of your eyelashes like the hair on your head, then there is absolutely no reason we shouldn't be conditioning them. 

I like to remove my makeup with the oil, scrub away the bacteria with the foam and apply more oil to the lashes before bed.  I just leave it on all night.  In the morning, either do another foaming scrub or just wash my face before applying mascara again.  Try it yourself.  I think you'll love it.

No. 2) A Fresh Pair of Contact Lenses

Clean contact lenses are even better than "new car scent" in my opinion.  They feel great on your eyes and you get the sense than you have done something good for yourself.  My favorite daily contact lens is Dailies Total One.

If your prescription does not come in a daily disposable, you can do the next best thing to get that clean contact lens feeling.  Clean your contact lenses daily using Clear Care Solution.  This solution will make your contact lenses feel brand new for the entire month.  

If you have never used this solution, makeup sure you read the instructions, or watch this video before using it.  It is the best cleaning solution on the planet, but it needs to be used properly.  Your eyes deserve to feel great in your contact lenses from the time you put them on to when you take them off at the end of the day.   

No. 3) Warm Compresses

Heat makes your sore muscles feel great.  It soothes the tissues and allows your joints to move more freely.  Heat can also make your tired eyes feel rejuvenated again. 

Try using a Bruder Moist Heat Mask for 8 - 12 minutes when your eyes are aching.  It will get them feeling more comfortable fast.
